The Formation and Development of the Field of Tourism and its System of Terms

This article is devoted to the study of the formation and development of terminology related to the field of tourism in English and Uzbek languages. The development of terminology in the field of tourism in English by international standards, and the processes of acquiring international terms in the Uzbek language while preserving national characteristics were analyzed. Examples of terms related to hotel services, types of travel, and modern trends in tourism show similarities and differences in terminology between the two languages. The article offers suggestions for improving the terminology of the tourism industry.
