Alisher Navoiy and His Contribution to Uzbek Literature

Alisher Navoiy is regarded as the founder of Uzbek classical literature and one of the most significant figures in Turkic literature. His contributions played a crucial role in shaping the Uzbek literary language and enriching the region’s poetic and cultural heritage. This research examines Navoiy’s influence on Uzbek literature, focusing on his major works, literary innovations, and philosophical ideas.The study explores how Navoiy’s poetry and prose established a strong foundation for later literary developments and how his humanistic and ethical ideals continue to resonate in modern literature. Using a qualitative research approach, the analysis draws from primary sources, including Navoiy’s writings, and secondary academic studies to assess his literary and linguistic impact.The findings highlight Navoiy’s role in refining the Uzbek language, his contributions to the poetic traditions of the Chagatai Turkic language, and his influence on future generations of poets and writers. His legacy remains vital in Uzbek literary discourse, reflecting timeless themes of morality, justice, and love for humanity.This research contributes to a deeper understanding of Navoiy’s significance in world literature and his lasting impact on Uzbek cultural identity.
