Contemporary Jurisprudential Issues Related to Agriculture and Their Impact: A Jurisprudential Study

The purpose of this research is to make Sharia pronouncements regarding agricultural developments that issues from the technological and information revolution of the modern era comprehensible. It tackles concepts of up to date problems in agriculture, applications of genetic engineering, the jurisprudential clarification of recent contracts in agriculture investment, decisions on zakat in view of the modern prices, and the responsibility of the environment. The method used in the research was descriptive, analytical, and comparative, and obtained the conclusion that Islamic Sharia is able to frame this development in order to realize the interests of humans and not conflict with the principles of the religion that already exists today.
